J Vander Stoep

Principal

J. has more than 25 years of experience helping public figures and organizations prepare, avoid, and manage communications crises — including high profile cases appearing in national and regional media. An attorney-at-law, he served as Chief of Staff to a U.S. Senator and was a Washington state representative. J. has worked with dozens of public agencies, public figures, nonprofits and businesses as a communications consultant and strategist.

Timothy Killian

Vice President

Tim brings more than 25 years frontline crisis experience working with large corporations, small businesses, government agencies and public figures. Most recently, Tim was the Spokesperson for Life Care Centers of America, ground zero for the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. He’s worked in government and public affairs, including as the council liaison for the Mayor of Seattle, and has run several statewide political initiatives and candidate campaigns. Tim has extensive experience in online and social media monitoring. He was an adjunct professor at Seattle University, teaching public affairs and crisis communications.

Tish Van Dyke

Vice President

Tish is a globally recognized communications strategist. She has over 20 years of experience counseling organizations on crisis mitigation, management, and recovery, as well as brand communications and corporate affairs. As former chair of Edelman’s global food and beverage sector, Tish is credited with having built the largest food and beverage portfolio in the public relations industry. She also worked in a senior capacity for members of the healthcare industry at Burson-Marsteller (now BCW).

Kraig R. Naasz

Senior Strategist

Kraig is an experienced public communicator. A CEO of several national trade associations that experienced crisis, he guided the mining industry’s response to the Sago Mine disaster, the fertilizer industry’s response to the Oklahoma City bombing and the apple industry’s response to the Alar scare. Kraig has created many national communications campaigns including the Frozen, How Fresh Stays Fresh campaign encouraging consumers to take a fresh look at frozen foods and the Alcohol Responsibility campaign driving underage and binge drinking to their lowest levels in 40 years. Early in his career, Kraig served as press secretary and communications director to several members of congress.
