Media Training

Few organizations are adequately prepared for a reputation threatening crisis. When crisis hits and the media calls for comment, are you confident in your ability to respond effectively?
We know preparation and training are essential to effective crisis communication management. Sound Counsel helps organizations successfully manage media relations through training.

We typically conduct media training for three-to-five potential spokespersons per half-day session. During the sessions, we conduct two-to-three mock media interviews and tape the interviews for real time review and feedback.

Throughout the media training sessions, we provide participants with our professional guidance and recommendations for effectively communicating messages and avoiding pitfalls. Our objective is to equip you with the communication tools and confidence needed to successfully engage the media in the event of a crisis.

Other personnel may be invited to attend and observe these media training sessions at your organization’s discretion. Video of the sessions is provided to all participants for instructional purposes and ease of future reference.
